MariaDB on Lade
MariaDB is an open-source fork of the MySQL relational database management system. It maintains high compatibility with MySQL and is intended as a binary drop-in replacement. It includes new storage engines like Aria, ColumnStore, and MyRocks.
Availability
Every MariaDB database is run in a high-availability cluster with two replicas for storage. In the event of a server failure, the database will automatically failover.
Backups
Automated backups are taken daily and retained for 7 days. Backups are safely stored in external cloud storage.
Scalability

Security
SSL connections are enabled by default. Private network isolation can be enabled for additional security.
